MONROE, NORTH CAROLINA – The University of South Carolina Beaufort women's golf team concluded the Jerry Surratt Memorial Intercollegiate on Tuesday afternoon. The tournament was hosted by Wingate at Stonebridge Golf Club in Monroe, North Carolina.

The Sand Sharks placed 14th overall, with McLain Neal finishing sixth individually. Wingate claimed the team title, while Olivia Meinecke of Wingate was the individual winner. 

Neal led the way for the Sand Sharks, finishing sixth overall in the tournament. Her best round came in the second round with a two-under-par 70. In the third round, she carded an even-par 72 to close the tournament. Neal led the team with nine birdies, which ranked seventh overall in the field, and was tied for the team lead in pars with 35.

Next for the Sand Sharks was Camila Giordani, who finished 50th overall in the tournament. Her best round came in the third and final round, moving her up six spots on day two. She tied Neal for the team high with 35 pars across the three rounds and added three birdies.

Anna Grace Brown finished 76th overall, carding an 81 in each round of the tournament. She recorded five birdies, second-most on the team, along with 25 pars.

Manon Tortelier and Izzy Codling finished tied for 83rd overall. Tortelier recorded her best round in the third and final round and finished the tournament with 27 pars and two birdies.

Codling totaled three birdies and 19 pars during the tournament. She also posted her best round in the third and final round on day two, carding an 82.

The Sand Sharks will next compete in their home event, the Oldfield Intercollegiate, on March 16–17 at Oldfield Golf Club, hosted by USCB.
