EATONTON, GEORGIA — The University of South Carolina Beaufort men's golf team concluded the Bobcat Invitational on Tuesday afternoon, completing rounds one and two at Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee. The Sand Sharks finished tied for sixth in the tournament with a total score of 578 (292–286).
The overall team winner was Georgia Southwestern with a score of 563 (284–279), while the individual champion was Jordan Jones of Georgia Southwestern.
USCB was led by Octavio Laurent, who tied for second overall in the tournament, finishing with a 139 and a best round of 68 (-2). Laurent recorded five birdies and a total of 27 pars, contributing to his top-five finish.
Next for the Sand Sharks was Christofer Hammar, who tied for 19th overall with a final score of 145. His best round was a 71, and he finished with 20 pars and a team-high six birdies.
Dylan Allen placed third among USCB players and 30th overall with a score of 147 after posting a best round of 71. He recorded three birdies and 20 pars during the tournament. Allen was also one of six players to record an eagle.
Nikolai Holme and Aaron Williams both tied for 52nd overall with scores of 151. Holme's best round was a 72 in the second round, and he totaled three birdies and 20 pars over the two rounds.
Williams finished with 18 pars and five birdies across both rounds, with his best score coming in the second round.
USCB returns to action March 23–24 at the Tennessee River Rumble, hosted by Lincoln Memorial in Harrogate, Tennessee.
