SALISBURY, NORTH CAROLINA – The University of South Carolina Women's Golf team concluded day one of the two-day Patsy Rendleman Invitational, hosted by Catawba at the CC of Salisbury.
The Sand Sharks sit in fourth place after the first two rounds, with McLain Neal leading the way in sixth individually as one of two golfers in the top 10 for the Sand Sharks. As a team, the Sand Sharks finished day one in fourth after posting a 320 in round one followed by a 317 in round two.
Neal led the way for the Sand Sharks, carding a 76 in each of the first two rounds for a total of 152. She finished day one with the only eagle of the tournament and added four birdies, tied for third-most in the field, along with 17 pars.
Camila Giordani followed, finishing the first two rounds with a 153 after a first-round 74, her best of the day. Giordani recorded 21 pars, the most on the team and eighth-most in the tournament, along with three birdies.
London Eneas is tied for 33rd overall with a total score of 166, highlighted by a second-round 79. Eneas recorded one birdie on the day along with 15 pars.
Tatiana Ruesta, who is tied with Eneas after day one, totaled 13 pars and one birdie. She shot an 83 in each round for a total of 166.
Izzy Codling rounded out the lineup with a total score of 178, with her best round being an 84. Codling finished the day with 10 pars.
The Sand Sharks will conclude the Patsy Rendleman Invitational on Tuesday morning with the final round of the tournament.
