The University of South Carolina Beaufort women's track and field team wrapped up competition at both the Georgia Southern Relays and the Georgia Tech Invite with several strong individual performances and event wins.
At the Georgia Southern Relays, the Sand Sharks were led by standout efforts across multiple events. De'Andra Brown and Grace Wolfe both finished in the top five of the 100m hurdles, placing fourth (16.22) and fifth (16.87), respectively. In the 800m, Avrie Farrington secured a top-10 finish, placing ninth with a time of 2:34.85, and later added a 13th-place finish in the 1500m (5:30.76).
The 100m sprint saw a strong showing from the team, with four athletes landing in the top 10. Dionna Rivers led the group with a fifth-place finish (12.60), followed by Emmak Wak (7th), Logan Harvin (8th), and Unique Rogers (9th).
In field events, Logan Harvin claimed first place in the javelin with a throw of 16.09m. Chloe Campbell earned a runner-up finish in the high jump (1.45m), while Patton Casto took first in the shot put (11.25m). Victoria Ingram also contributed with a fourth-place finish in the triple jump (11.05m).
At the Georgia Tech Invite, Milani Edwards led the Sand Sharks in the 400m with a time of 58.33, finishing 53rd overall, followed by Alayla Thomas in 66th. In the 200m, Melanie Simmons recorded a time of 26.34 to place 92nd.
The Sand Sharks will return to action May 2–3 at the Peach Belt Conference Championship meet in Daytona, Florida.
