DAYTONA BEACH, Florida — The University of South Carolina Beaufort women's track and field team completed day three of the Embry-Riddle Classic, hosted by Embry-Riddle. The Sand Sharks finished 29th overall in the meet.
USCB was highlighted on day three by the 4x100m relay on Saturday, which earned an eighth-place finish. The relay team consisted of Melanie Simmons, Milani Edwards, Dionna Rivers, and Zoe Turner.
In the 400m, the Sand Sharks were led by Maggie Olsen, who placed 10th overall with a time of 58.32, leading a group of five USCB athletes in the event.
Priscilla Rodriguez led the way in the 400m hurdles, finishing with a time of 1:08.31.
Chandler Riley paced the team in the 800m with a final time of 2:35.59.
In the discus throw, Sophia Stalford led USCB with a mark of 34.11m, earning a top-10 finish in 10th place.
De'Andra Brown was the team's top performer in the triple jump, placing 12th overall with a mark of 10.61m.
Patton Casto led the way in the shot put with a final mark of 11.26m.
