Tim Daniels Named Associate Vice Chancellor for Intercollegiate Athletics and Athletics Director

BLUFFTON, SOUTH CAROLINA – The University of South Carolina Beaufort Chancellor Dr. Al M. Panu has announced the hiring of Tim Daniels as the next Associate Vice Chancellor for Intercollegiate Athletics and Athletics Director, effective May 15, 2026.
 
Daniels has worked with USCB since June 2022 as the Executive Director of the USCB Education Foundation and Associate Vice Chancellor for Development and Alumni Relations.
 
"I would like to thank Dr. Panu and the members of the search committee for this opportunity. I have been fortunate over the last four years to cultivate relationships among the amazing faculty, staff, coaches, and athletic administrators at USCB," said Tim Daniels.
 
Daniels brings 16 years of experience in athletics in a wide variety of roles. His background includes external operations with focuses on fundraising, marketing, community relations, ticketing, and several areas of athletic administration within NCAA athletic departments.
 
"Additionally, I am looking forward to enhancing relationships with our alumni, athletic supporters, community leaders, and local businesses to provide support and enhance the student-athlete experience at USCB," Daniels stated.
 
Before arriving at USCB, Daniels worked at Ursinus College from 2018-22 as the Director of Athletic Development. There, he directed all fundraising efforts for Ursinus College's 25 athletic teams.
 
Prior to his time at Ursinus College, he served as the Director of Athletic Development at West Chester University, where he supervised and directed all aspects of athletics fundraising and staff operations for the athletic department. At West Chester, he also served as the direct sport supervisor for multiple teams and was a member of the athletic director's senior staff and advisory committee. During his tenure, the program captured nine conference championships, two regional championships, and one national championship.
 
Before entering collegiate athletics administration, Daniels worked in professional sports at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, home of the Philadelphia Flyers and Philadelphia 76ers. For four seasons, he was a client service manager in the advertising sales department, where he executed all Flyers sponsorship activations, and he also served as a marketing coordinator for the 76ers for one season.
 
Daniels also served as a marketing coordinator with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts and the Hershey Bears organization, where he was responsible for external marketing efforts, community relations, and in-game promotions. During his tenure, the team won back-to-back American Hockey League championships in the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
 
Daniels began his career in college athletics at East Stroudsburg University, where he was a graduate assistant to the Athletic Director and supervised and managed student workers for game-day operations.
He earned his bachelor's degree and master's degree in Sport Management from East Stroudsburg University and was a four-year member of the track and field program.
 
Daniels lives in Bluffton with his wife, Karen, daughters Kendall and Paige, and son Gavin.
