Valdosta,Georgia – The University of South Carolina Beaufort men's golf team concluded round two of the three-round NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional at Valdosta Country Club. USCB wraps up the second day in 10th place overall, led by Octavio Laurent, who is tied for ninth through two rounds.
Cooper Tendick of University of West Florida is the individual leader, while West Florida and Nova Southeastern University are tied for the team lead.
The Sand Sharks were led by Laurent through two rounds after he carded a 70 in round two, highlighted by four birdies and 12 pars. He now has seven birdies and 24 pars through two rounds and sits tied for ninth overall. Laurent's two-round total of 139 (69-70) places him at five-under par for the tournament.
Aaron Williams is the second-leading Sand Shark through two rounds with a total score of 146. He shot a 76 in round two, recording three birdies and 11 pars. Williams has totaled 10 birdies and 17 pars for the tournament and is tied for 42nd at two-over par.
Dylan Allen is tied for 49th overall with a total score of 147 after shooting a 72 in round two. His afternoon included five birdies and nine pars. Allen is currently three-over par for the tournament with 10 birdies and 16 pars through two rounds.
Nikolai Holme is tied for 81st after posting a two-round total of 152, including a 75 in round two. Holme recorded two birdies and 11 pars on the day and has totaled 22 pars and four birdies in the tournament. He enters the final round at eight-over par.
Christofer Hammar is tied for 93rd with a total score of 155 through two rounds. He finished round two with two birdies and eight pars. Hammar has recorded four birdies and 17 pars in the tournament and enters round three at 11-over par.
The third and final round begins Saturday, May 9, at 9:00 a.m. at Valdosta Country Club.
