BLUFFTON, SOUTH CAROLINA - The Peach Belt Conference released its Week Two Soccer Player of the Week awards for performances from August 31st through September 6. USCB went 2-0 on the week with wins over Chowan and West Alabama, while Erin Barrett earned PBC Player of the Week honors.

Barrett made her first two career starts with USCB during the week and capitalized on the opportunity, finishing with six points on three goals. The performance included her first collegiate goal and her first career hat trick, which the opening two goals of the game.

USCB opened the week with a 6-1 win over Chowan, as Barrett scored the first two goals of the game at the 11:04 and 18:29 marks to give the Sand Sharks an early 2-0 lead. Barrett completed her hat trick early in the second half after gaining possession on a takeaway before sending the ball over the goalkeeper's head for her third goal of the match.

The Sand Sharks went on to complete a perfect week Saturday with a 1-0 win over West Alabama.

Barrett earned USCB's first Conference Player of the Week award of the season in Week Two.

The Sand Sharks will be home twice this week, starting Wednesday, September 9, against Coker before opening PBC play Saturday, September 12, against North Georgia.
