MIAMI, Fla. - For the third time this year and the fourth time in his career, senior golfer Dawson Peters won Sun Conference Golfer of the Week on Monday, April 19 following his first-place victory at the highly-competitive Roadrunner Classic.

The victory at Dalton State's event was the third victory of the year for the Urbandale, Iowa native.

At the two-day, three-round tournament, he won the outing by two strokes over four ranked golfers. Peters started his day with an even-par 72 and followed that performance with a glistening 6-under 66 round. In the third round, he shot 3-over 75 to finish at 3-under 213.

The 6-under 66 round score marked a season low in 2021 and also matched a career low, which he shot last year at the Coastal Georgia Winter Invitational.

Overall - Peters has won five tournaments in a Sand Shark uniform and also extended his stretch of finishing inside the top 15 to 18 straight outings (dates back to last year's Dave Adamonis Sr. Invitational).

Peters and the rest of the USCB men's golf team will rest and prepare for the three-day,  54-hole Sun Conference Championship, which begins on Sunday, April 25 at the Savannah Quarters Country Club in Pooler, Ga.
