TAMPA, Fla. - For the first time in her career, freshman midfielder Synne Bye-Andersen was named the Sun Conference's Offensive Player of the Week following her two-goal performance versus Georgia Southwestern.
After her first career start versus Truett McConnell, Bye-Andersen turned heads in her second career start with a two-goal outing versus the Hurricanes. The performance had three milestones for the Trondheim, Norway native, as it was her first career goal scored, first career multi-goal game and first career game-winning goal as well.
In her 60 minutes of action, she ripped five shots and put a trio on frame. She tallied the first of four USCB goals versus Georgia Southwestern, which gave her the game-winning goal.
Bye-Andersen and the entire USCB women's soccer team will return to action on Tuesday, Aug. 31, as the Sand Sharks host Converse. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. (new start time) at Fin Land Field.
