MIAMI, Fla. - For the third time in her career, senior USCB track and field athlete Iyana McKeever was named the Sun Conference's Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week on Monday, Jan. 17, 2022. 

Participating in the Gamecock Opener at South Carolina, McKeever competed in just one field event - long jump - at the meet. The senior earned second-place honors in the event with a leap of 5.59m. That mark hit a NAIA B Standard and was just 0.01m away from moving into the A Standard. 

The Statesboro, Ga. native also competed in two track events at the Gamecock Opener - 60m and 200m. She finished in 16th place in both events.

The Field Athlete of the Week award was McKeever's first honor this year.
