How it Happened
After a pair of scoreless innings to commence the game, the Patriots scored an unearned run in the bottom of the third inning. However, that quickly changed from the fourth inning-on.
In the fourth, Ambrose put USCB on the board with a two-run double and scored on a throwing error on the next play.
Andre singled home USCB's fourth run in the fifth inning, and Humphrey plated another run the following inning with a single through the left side. Andre's spot came up again the same inning, and the Murrells Inlet native belted a two-run double to right center to push the Sand Shark lead to seven, 8-1.
USCB pushed across another run on a wild pitch, and Miller singled to left to make it 10-1 in the seventh.
The Sand Sharks would push across two more runs, making it 12-1, and Tucker Dove came in to close it out and end the game via the 10-run mercy rule.
