Top Plays: Edwards jumps way into record books

BLUFFTON -- Junior Cam Edwards had one of the best season one could ask for the USCB Track and Field team as the Guyton, Georgia native jumped his way into the record books, breaking the indoor school record for the high and triple jump while setting the outdoor record for the high, long, and triple jump.

He began his season with setting the program's indoor triple jump record at the RADD Sports Track and Field Invitational, posting a 14.05m mark on his third attempt. The following month at the inaugural Peach Belt Confernece Indoor Track and Field Championship he went on to set the school mark in the high jump of 1.83m.

Edwards would go on to match his indoor high jump mark of 1.83m in the outdoor season breaking the previous record. Again at the PBC Championships he would post a program-best 7.01m in the long jump while also posting a 14.41m jump in the triple.
