Women's Soccer unveils 2024 schedule

BLUFFTON -- USCB women's soccer interim head coach Dan Huff unveiled the 2024 schedule Tuesday afternoon. The 2024 campaign has 18 games with 10 of those contests being held at Fin Land Field.

"I'm excited for this season to get underway," said Huff. "We've got a much different looking schedule than we have in previous years which will prepare us for a tough Peach Belt Conference schedule. Our new non-conference opponents will allow us to gain more competitive experience at a regional level. Between the preseason and regular season, we'll be seeing competition from the Conference Carolinas, the South Atlantic Conference, and a strong Sunshine State Conference."

USCB opens the season on the road in Central, South Carolina against Southern Wesleyan before returning to Bluffton for contests against King and Emmanuel. The Sand Sharks then hit the road for the longest road trip of the season with a trip to Florida for games against Lynn and Palm Beach Atlantic.

The PBC portion of the schedule kicks off with a road game against Georgia Southwestern before hosting regular season champion North Georgia. South Carolina State visits the Lowcountry as the calendar turns to October and then road contests against USC Aiken and Albany State follow. The longest home stand of the year sees Georgia College, Lander, Albany State (non-conference), and Flagler at Fin Land and then the Sand Sharks hit the road to the Peach State for contests against Brewton-Parker and Clayton State.

USCB wraps up the regular season with a weekend clash against PBC tournament champion Columbus State and the first meeting with Rollins. The top eight teams in the conference will play in the 2024 Peach Belt Conference Tournament beginning November, 12.

"This year will be pivotal in our preparation in solidifying a foundation for Sand Shark Soccer in the years to come. Regional competition against DII opponents will not only better us on the field but also bolster our presence in the regional and national recruiting landscape."
