Top Plays: Bright wins Oldfield Classic

BLUFFTON -- Ellis Bright put together a strong first season in the Lowcountry recording three performances of even par or better, but it was in the Oldfield Classic where shined.

He shot a 4-under 68 in the final round, finishing atop the leaderboard with an 8-under 208 three-round total propelling the Sand Sharks to a 4-over finish as a team to earn first place.

The Trowbridge started his final round in first place at 4-under and kick started his round with a par on number one before carding a birdie on three. He picked up another two birdies on holes 4 and 6, finishing the front nine 1-under. Consecutive birdies on 11 and 12 put Bright in a prime position on the back nine. He birdied 15 and 17 and nearly sunk a 52-foot birdie putt on 18, tapping in for par to complete his 68.
