Howe, Mitchell pace Sand Sharks at Eye Opener

SPARTANBURG -- Freshman Elliott Howe led the way for USCB in his first collegiate meet, posting a time of 28:12.3, averaging a mile time of 5:40.4 and finishing in the top 75 and Jacob Mitchell finished with a time of 29:30.6.

Fifth year Jay King posted a time of 30:16.5 while freshman Jeremiah Grant and Beckett Jones finished with times of 30:55.2 and 31:37.8. Eli Smith rounded out the field for the Sand Sharks with a time of 33:22.9.

Beaufort travels to the Queen City next weekend to compete in the Queen City Invite. The race is scheduled to start at 6:55 EST on Friday.
