BLUFFTON, SOUTH CAROLINA – The University of South Carolina Beaufort men's and women's cross country teams will compete in the home meet on Saturday morning. The Sand Sharks are set to host the 18th annual Sand Shark Invitational on Saturday, October 11.

This will be the fifth meet of the season for USCB, following three road meets and a dual meet last week against Savannah State. In that dual meet, the women's team earned a first-place finish, while the men competed in an exhibition race.

The meet will feature 18 women's teams, including: Albany State, Allen, Bethune-Cookman, Brewton-Parker, Claflin, Columbia International, Emmanuel, Francis Marion, Georgia Southern, Middle Georgia State, Mount Olive, Newberry, Savannah State, SC State, SCAD Savannah, Southeastern, USCA, and USCB.

On the men's side, 15 teams will compete: Allen, Bethune-Cookman, Brewton-Parker, Claflin, Columbia International, Emmanuel, Francis Marion, Mount Olive, Newberry, Savannah State, SC State, SCAD Savannah, Southeastern, USCA, and the host team, the Sand Sharks.

The men's 8K race will begin at 8:45 AM, followed by the women's 5K race at 9:30 AM.

Both races will be held at Sergeant Jasper Park in Hardeeville, South Carolina (1620 Red Dam Road, Hardeeville, SC 29927).
