SCAD DEFEATS SAND SHARKS TWICE

SAVANNAH, GA-The USCB baseball team again found the second day of Sun Conference play tougher than the first, dropping a doubleheader at Savannah's Grayson Stadium on Saturday to SCAD by scores of 10-0 and 12-2. After winning game one on Friday 8-1, the Sand Sharks lost their eye at the plate garnering only six hits in two games as their record dropped to 8-5 overall and 4-4 in conference play. 

Stephen Shackleford was the SACD starter in both games winning the first game than going the first three innings of game two before giving way to Michael Imbriale. The Bees pounded out 23 hits in the final two games of the series. 

Starters Spencer Cromer and Jared Campbell were the losing hurlers for the Sand Sharks. David O'Neil had the only two USCB hits in game one. The Sand Sharks scored their only two runs of the day in game two on a RJ Neal home run and an rbi double by Spencer Jackson

USCB will next be in action on Tuesday and Wednesday as they play non conference foe Southern Wesleyan in a two game set. Both games are scheduled to begin at 4:00 at the Richard Gray Baseball Complex in Hardeeville
