HARTSVILLE, SC-The Sand Shark baseball team ran their over-all record to 21-8 with a 15-5 non league victory over Coker College in a game played Tuesday in Hartsville, SC. USCB pounded out 17 hits on the afternoon led by four hits by
David O'Neil, three by
TJ Kemp and a pair of base knocks by Larry Perry,
RJ Neal, Brandon Collins, and Gabe Torres.
Ryan Philpott started on the mound for the Sand Sharks and was credited with the win. Four relievers followed Philpott as
Jorge Olmo, Matt Castro,
Jared Campbell, and
Ryan Kroko all got in at least an inning of work.
The Sand Sharks will next be in action in an important Sun Conference series on Friday and Saturday against Southeastern at home at the Richard Gray Baseball Complex in Hardeeville. The first pitch for Friday's single game is scheduled for 4:00 while the two teams will play a doubleheader at noon on Saturday.
