KANSAS CITY, MO- The USCB Sand Shark Baseball team receives national consideration in the March 30th Coaches Poll. In the last poll, preseason (November 17, 2009), the Sand Sharks received consideration by one coach; this poll consisted of six votes.
Other team in the top 25 includes No. 10 Embry-Riddle, which USCB took one in their series this year 4-1, and No. 24 Brewton Parker to whom the Sand Shark fell last night 1-4.
The Sand Sharks took the early lead with a single by Brandon Collins, followed by a RBI triple by
RJ Neal, however that was the only run scored for the Sand Sharks. Brewton Parker tied the game in the bottom of the 6th with a homerun by Jacob Evors, who hit a two run homer in the 8th, to help the Barons take the lead. They were able to score one more that inning to produce the 1-4 score.
The Sand Sharks will hit the road tomorrow to be in Miami to play in a Sun Conference series against Florida Memorial, Friday at 3pm and a double header Saturday, first pitch 12pm.
