SAND SHARK BASEBALL BREAKS INTO THE NAIA TOP 25

USCB CONTINUES WINNING STREAK

Columbia, SC—The University of South Carolina Beaufort baseball team makes its debut on the NAIA Top 25 Coaches Poll Tuesday, April 20, 2010. After receiving votes all season, the Sand Sharks' sweep over Northwood last weekend, boosted their record to 35-10 overall and 17-6 TSC, helped the team finally break onto the Top 25 NAIA National Rankings. The Sand Sharks received 138 votes this week.

The Sand Sharks, after todays win over Benedict 11-5, now own a 12 game winning streak. Some highlights in today's game include Ryan Kroko picking up his second win of the season, pitching two scoreless innings while Brandon Collins hit his 6th homerun. Gabe Torres went 3-4 at the plate, and Jared Campbell pitched three innings allowing only 2 earned runs. More details from today's game to follow.
