BLUFFTON, SC-The University of South Carolina Beaufort Baseball team, receives a big send off. The No. 19 USCB Sand Sharks loaded the bus Friday morning for their second trip to The Sun Conference Baseball Tournament in the programs short two year history. The USCB Athletics Departments parking lot was turned into a make-shift reception site full of die hard Sand Shark supporters, posters, and banners as well as goodie bags for the team. 

The Sand Sharks are traveling with a group of 27 players, with one practice left before the opening round vs. ST. Thomas in Ft. Myers, FL. The field of 27 will be narrowed down to a select 24 which will be announced Saturday night after the teams final practice, banquet and coaches meeting. At Saturday's banquet awards and honors will be given out for Coach of the Year, Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, and 1st, 2nd and 3rd team all conference.
