Box Score 1 HARDEEVILLE, SC-The USCB baseball team picked up two wins on Saturday sweeping at doubleheader over Fisher College from Boston, Massachusetts at the Richard Gray Baseball Complex. The Sand Sharks won the first game 5-0 behind a masterful pitching performance by Dexter Price and came back to win the nightcap 14-2. The two wins give USCB a 3-1 record on the young season.
The Sand Sharks struck for three runs in the second inning in game one.

RJ Neal, Daniel Wass, and Clay Bonds all contributed key hits in the frame to give USCB a lead they would not surrender.
Larry Perry and
David O'Neil had singles with two out in the Sand Shark's fifth frame and later scored as Spencer Jackson delivered a single. That would be all the Sand Sharks would need as Price settled down after loading the bases in the first inning. He pitched four solid innings striking out eight.
Colton Rudd came on to pitch the fifth inning for USCB. After allowing two walks to start the frame, Rudd, took advantage of a Fisher hit and run play, speared a line drive back to the mound, threw to second baseman Perry for a force out and Perry than tagged the runner coming from first base for a triple play. Rudd shut down Fisher the rest of the way giving up just one hit.
The Sand Sharks tallied a run in the first inning in game two as O'Neil walked went to second on a wild pitch and scored on a Fisher error.
USCB batted around in both the third and fourth innings as Perry, O'Neil, and Jackson led off the third with base hits and all scored on a bases loaded walk to Adam Gendall, a fielder's choice and an error.
The Sand Sharks put O'Neil and Jackson on base early in the fourth on Fisher errors and both scored on a single by Gendall. After
Brett Martin was hit by a pitch,
Conald Mansfield hit a 345 foot three run home run to right field to put USCB ahead 9-0.
The Sand Sharks were not done yet. After a Perry walk and O'Neil's second hit of the game, they both scored on rbi ground outs by Jackson and Gendall to run the score to 11-0 in the fifth.
Denzel Campbell,
Deshontay Berry, and
Blake Cilwick then had consecutive hits to open the Sand Shark's sixth frame and all eventually scored to give their final runs of the game.
Stephens Richards, USCB redshirt freshman, started game two and gave up only three hits through five and a third innings.
Alexander Graham relieved Richards in the fifth frame and went the rest of the way to secure the win.
The two teams will square off on Sunday in another twinbill starting at noon at the Richard Gray Baseball Complex in Hardeeville.
