Babson Park, FL-The Sand Sharks baseball team played Webber International in a Sun Conference battle on Friday. USCB entered the game riding a ten game win-streak behind a potent offense and strong pitching. Unfortunately, the Warriors stepped up to the challenge and was able to defeat the Sand Sharks 5-1 on Friday, the first of three games in the series.
Adam Miller, Savannah, GA, went the distance on the mound for the Sand Sharks. The loss moves Miller to 1-2 on the season for USCB. At the plate the Sand Sharks struggled for the first time since their loss against Brewton-Parker College.
Conald Mansfield went 2-for-4 and drove in the only run on the day.
USCB will look to get back on track on Saturday as they will play Webber International in two conference games. The first pitch is slated for noon and can be seen live via
