Ty Main, Jr., Baltimore, MD, went 2-for-4 with two doubles, to lead the Sand Sharks offense. The Sand Sharks led throughout much of the second game of the day, but WIU outscored USCB 7-3 in the final three innings, including two runs in the bottom of the ninth to earn the 7-6 win.
Andrew Barrineau, Jr., Varnville, SC, was the pitcher of record and is now 0-1 on the season.
Ty Main, again, led the Sand Shark offense going 2-for-4, with a homerun, 3 RBI's, and a run scored.
USCB will look to get back on track as they host Southern Wesleyan University on Tuesday and Wednesday at Richard Gray Park in Hardeeville, SC. First pitch is set for 3:00 pm both days. USCB is now 11-4 overall, and 3-3 in Sun Conference play.
