Lakeland, FL-The USCB baseball team travelled to play the Southeastern University Fire in a Sun Conference series. Despite scoring three runs in the top of the ninth, the Sand Sharks could not complete the comeback and lost 9-6. USCB is now 16-10, overall, and 6-7 in the Sun Conference.
Adam Miller, Jr., Savannah, GA, got the loss for the Sand Sharks in giving up seven runs in five innings of work. Miller is now 2-3 on the season for USCB. At the plate
Ty Main, Jr., Baltimore, MD, had three hits and scored two runs on the day for the Sand Sharks. Gabe Torres, Spencer Jackson, and
RJ Neal each had two hits at the plate as well.
After three innings of play USCB and Southeastern were tied at three runs and then the Fire were able to score two runs in the fourth, sixth, and eight innings to lead 9-3 heading into the top half of the second. USCB fought hard to come back in scoring three runs in the top half of the ninth, but was unable to complete the comeback.
