Hardeeville, SC-The USCB baseball team was home again today as they hosted Claflin University from Orangeburg, SC.
Stephen Richards, Fr., Austin Town, OH, started on the mound for the Sand Sharks, and after a shaky start, earned the win to go 3-0 on the season. Coach Sofield again used the bullpen as
Colton Rudd, Jr., Ft. Pierce, FL and Andres Castro, Sr., Miami, FL, combined to throw a four-hitter in the final 5 1/3 innings of play.
Ty Main, Baltimore, MD, continued to be the spark at the top of the lineup for the Sand Sharks as he went 2-for-4 with three runs scored on the day and reaching base four times. Like Main, at the top of the line-up, Gabe Torres, Jr., Safety Harbor, FL, has performed at the bottom of the line-up. Torres was 2-for-4, reached base three times, and scored two runs on the day.
