No. 21 USCB (13-13, 5-7 TSC) at Southeastern (15-18, 4-8)
The University of South Carolina Beaufort baseball team will try to win its third consecutive road series in Sun Conference play when the Sand Sharks travel to Lakeland, Fla., to face Southeastern in a key league series this weekend. USCB has taken two of three at Florida Memorial and Thomas in its last two conference weekends to get back in the thick of the race to Fort Myers for the conference tournament. The Sand Sharks are seventh in the conference standings, one game ahead of Southeastern, one game behind Thomas and two games back of Northwood and Webber International. The top six teams qualify for the Sun Conference Tournament.

SCOUTING SOUTHEASTERN
The Fire have played well of late, winning four of five and six of eight. They took two of three at Ave Maria in their last Sun Conference series March 8-9 and won two of three in a non-conference series against Concordia (Neb.) last weekend. Southeastern's pitching staff ranks first in the nation with 259 strikeouts, with Johnnie Kirkland (3-2, 2.04 ERA) leading the way with an NAIA-best 67 strikeouts in 53 innings pitched.
