Sand Shark Baseball Set To Wrap Up Regular Season At Home Vs. Warner

Warner (20-30, 6-18 TSC) at USCB (21-20, 11-13 TSC)

The University of South Carolina Beaufort baseball team wraps up its regular season with a key Sun Conference series this weekend, as the Sand Sharks try to lock up a spot in the six-team Sun Conference Tournament when they host Warner for a three-game set Friday and Saturday. The first game of the series has been moved up to 12:30 p.m. Friday because of the threat of bad weather Friday afternoon. USCB is tied for sixth place in the conference standings with Thomas, but the Sand Sharks hold the head-to-head tiebreaker and have a more favorable remaining schedule. Thomas has three games each with first-place Embry-Riddle and second-place St. Thomas and a single game with eighth-place Northwood.

Andrew Yanes (5-3, 2.99 ERA) and Ryan Ruble (4-5, 3.63 ERA) are the team's top starting pitchers.
