Box Score COCHRAN, Ga. – The USCB baseball team rallied in the ninth inning to force extra innings before suffering a tough 2-1 loss in 10 innings Wednesday at No. 16 Middle Georgia.
The Knights took a 1-0 lead on Will Golden's RBI single in the fourth, and that's where it remained until the ninth. With the Sand Sharks down to their last three outs, Wade Arduini drew a leadoff walk and pinch runner JoJo Markle stole second and third and scored on a wild throw on his swipe of third.
Six USCB pitchers combined to hold the powerful Knights lineup to five hits, but Jesus Monserrat singled with two outs in the 10th, stole second and scored on Logan Smith's single to win it.
Thomas Estopare, Justin Kortessis, and Nick Graham each had two hits for the Sand Sharks.
