Hardeeville, SC-- USCB hosted the 12th Annual Sand Shark Invitational this morning on the grounds of the Hardeeville-Ridgeland Middle School Complex and the Cooler property near Sgt. Jasper County Park. With over 700 runners, the event, which was first held in 2007, hosted its largest number of competitors to-date.
Jenitza Trinidad and the women's team had another strong showing today. Trinidad set a new personal best at 21:10, while senior
Ciara McMahon knocked a minute off her time from her previous meet, coming across at 22:11. The team totaled 1:55 for the day as they continue to head toward the Sun Conference Championships early next month.
On the men's side
Tedros Eckstein once again led the underclassman-laden team with a time of 28:08.
Cameron Taylor came in at 28:35 and
Wesley Murphy finished at 29:19.
