In the second game of the day, and the last in the three-game series, the Sand Sharks found the lone run in the bottom of the seventh inning when Matthews hit a solo shot over the left field fence.
USCBÂ will have a chance to bounce back into the win column this Tuesday when they head up the road to Columbia, SC, to play Benedict College. The Sand Sharks were able to dispose of the Tigers 14-4 back on February 21.
