Cole Hamilton had 3 hits and an RBI as USCB baseball upset the #8 Middle Georgia Knights in game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader in Cochran, Ga by a 5-2 score. The Knights came back to defeat the Sand Sharks 12-0 in game 2.
In game 1, the Sand Sharks got two hits from all-time Sand Shark baseball home run leader
Bobby Wenthe, as well as from
Nick DelBianco,
Tavaris Terrell, and
Griffin Yeager.
Ryan Pedersen pitched 5 strong innings and got the win – his 2nd win a week – allowing just 1 hit and 1 run, while walking 3 and striking out 3.
Brandon Brown also pitched well in relief, going 2 innings, and allowing 3 hits, 1 run, and striking out 3.
In game 2, the Sand Sharks were held to just 3 hits – one each from
Cole Hamilton,
Tristan Triplett, and
Steven Mojica.
Ryan Reynolds started the game for USCB, lasting 2 innings.

USCB baseball travels to Miami, FL later this week to face #10 St. Thomas in a TSC series. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Friday beginning at 3:30, and will finish the TSC series with a single game at 1:00 on Saturday.
