MIAMI, Fla. - Following the first meet of the 2020 season at the Fire Short Course Invitational last weekend, USCB men's cross country runner Tewodros Eckstein was tabbed to the Sun Conference Runners to Watch List.

The watch list was announced on Friday, Sept. 11, 2020.

In the season-opening meet, Eckstein was one of three Sand Sharks to finish inside the top-10 at the Fire Short Course Invitational. Eckstein collected a strong third-place finish with a time of 17:36.88 in the 5k event. He was five seconds away from first place and just under eight seconds from the first-place finisher. He also averaged 5:39.8 per mile.

At the 2019 Sun Conference Championships, Eckstein was the lone USCB distance runner to collect All-Sun Conference honors along with Academic All-Sun Conference recognition.

At the postseason meet, Eckstein posted a 27:04.92 mark en route to his 10th-place finish.
