RESULTS
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After competing in the Sun Conference Indoor Championships earlier this week, the USCB track and field teams sent out a handful of athletes to compete at the Bulldog Open on Saturday in Birmingham. 
Highlights
Michael Johnson was the lone Sand Shark representative in the men's 60m prelims. He posted a 7.54, which placed him 73rd.
In the men's 60m hurdles, Augustis Frasier and Elijah Merida competed. The duo finishes, 35th and 37th, respectively. Frasier posted a 9.42 mark, while Merida clocked a 9.53. 
Jay King raced in the men's one mile run. The sophomore earned a mark of 4:50.16, which put him in 42nd place.
Competing in his second event of the day, Merida competed in the men's long jump. The upperclassman finished 29th with a leap of 5.90m. 
What's Next?
USCB will rest and prepare for the UofSC Indoor Open, which is a one-day meet on Feb. 18. South Carolina is hosting the meet in Columbia, S.C.
