Sand Sharks set personal bests at GSU Fall Classic

STATESBORO -- Taylor Atkinson, Sofia Mejia and Cydney Stevenson all set season-bests as USCB wrapped up its regular season in preparations for next weekend's Peach Belt Championship.

The Sand Sharks were led by junior Stevenson, as she finished 15th overall with a season-best 5K time of 21:56.98. Atkinson shaved nearly two minutes off her previous 5K time, posting a 22:19.10 good for 17th overall. Mejia finished right behind her teammate with a time of 23:30.02.

USCB will compete at the Peach Belt Conference Championships this weekend in Gainsville, Georgia.
