GREENWOOD, S.C. - After a heartbreaking loss in Friday's opener against Lander, USCB baseball ended a Bearcat rally in the ninth to claim its first Peach Belt Conference victory Saturday afternoon, 11-10.

How it Happened
Lander jumped on USCB starter Noah Coleman, scoring five runs in the first. The Sand Sharks broke through in the fourth after Humphrey recorded an RBI single to right. Driscoll-Sandusky followed with an RBI hit, making it 5-2 - Lander.
Miller made it a two-run game in the fifth with a single to left, and the Sand Sharks put together a five-run seventh to take their first lead of the day.
Lander's Matthew Burgess scored on an error in the bottom half of the inning, but USCB plated another run in the eighth, courtesy of Miller's second RBI hit.
The Bearcats wouldn't go quietly though, scoring two in bottom of the eighth, making it a one-run game - 9-8.
Two more runs crossed the plate for the Sand Sharks in the top of the ninth, and Lander tried to walk off for the second game in a row. However, USCB limited the Bearcats to just two runs to claim the one-run win, 11-10.
