GREENWOOD, S.C. - Following back-to-back one-run games on Friday and Saturday, it was only fitting that Sunday's finale between USCB and Lander would also be a one-run affair. However, the USCB baseball team couldn't keep the high octane offense going, dropping game three - 1-0.
Inside the Box Score
Wesley Ambrose: 1-for-4, 2B
Jacob Anderson - 1-for-3, 1B
Hunter Miller - 1-for-4, 1B
Blaize Minick: (L, 1-2), 6 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 6 SO
How it Happened
Starting pitcher Minick and Lander's Cooper King matched each other pitch for pitch through the first two innings, but the Bearcats broke through in the third with a sac fly RBI from Will McClellan.
King would keep USCB off the board through the next five innings, and Tyler Bowen came in to earn the save.
The Sand Shark offense could only muster three hits and two walks, as all five base runners were left stranded.
Team Records Updated
USCB: 4-7 (1-2 PBC)
Lander: 3-7 (2-1 PBC)
