MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The USCB baseball team concluded a three-game series in a tough way, as the Sand Sharks dropped both games of the doubleheader on Saturday to Georgia College, 5-4 and 3-2, at John Kurtz Field.

How it Happened: Game One
USCB jumped out to an early lead in the first after Meyer doubled to left and Miller scored thanks to a throwing error. The Bobcats cut into the lead, 2-1, with an RBI single in the bottom of the first.Â
Miller ripped a single to left that scored two in the top of the second, pushing the Sand Sharks lead to three, but Georgia College kept chipping away, scoring two runs in both third and fourth, taking a 5-4 lead.Â
The Sand Sharks threatened in the top of the ninth, but Phillips was forced out to end game one.Â

How it Happened: Game Two
Following three scoreless innings, Georgia College broke through in the fourth with a sac fly to go up 1-0.Â
It took two more innings, but the Sand Sharks cracked the scoreboard in the sixth courtesy of an RBI base knock from Robinson, scoring two.Â
The Bobcats netted the game at two in the bottom half of the sixth on a wild pitch and walked USCB off on a throwing error in the ninth.Â
