How it Happened
Georgia Southwestern jumped out to an early 2-0 lead after Victor Sanchez belted a two-run shot over the left field wall in the second.
Two innings later Reid Ragsdale doubled down the left field line to make it 3-0. The Canes plated three solo runs in the fifth, seventh and eighth.
The Sand Sharks tried to mount a comeback in the ninth by putting two players on base, but the final two outs were recorded before they could touch home.
