AMERICUS, Ga. - Despite USCB holding a one-run lead heading into the eighth inning, Georgia Southwestern tied it in the eighth and walked off the Sand Sharks in the ninth to win, 4-3, and sweep the series Sunday afternoon.

How it Happened
The Hurricanes scored early, plating two in the second thanks to an RBI triple and single.
USCB scored its first runs of the series in the third. Patterson blasted a solo shot. A second run scored on a fielder's choice, and Brian Meyer recorded a sac fly, putting the Sand Sharks up, 3-2.
Krieghauser kept the Canes scoreless over the next four innings before the bullpen took over. Scott Matthews worked two innings of one-run ball, allowing the tying run to score in the eighth.
After a leadoff single to open the ninth, Georgia Southwestern loaded the bases following back-to-back intentional walks. Victor Sanchez ripped a single past Brock Thibodeaux at third to end the game.
