HARDEEVILLE, S.C. - USCB was once down by 10 runs and battled back to within four, but the Sand Shark rally came up short Sunday afternoon, dropping the series finale, 15-9, to North Georgia at Richard Gray Stadium.

How it Happened
After a scoreless first inning, the Nighthawks batted around in the second, scoring seven runs.
North Georgia added two more in the fourth before the Sand Sharks broke in the bottom of the fourth when Cromer ripped an RBI single to right.
The Nighthawks added two more the next inning, but USCB answered with three runs thanks to a Dawson sacrifice fly and a two RBI single from Phillips.
Following a scoreless top half of the sixth, the Sand Sharks added another run via a Tucker Czech ground out, bringing home Christian Donaldson.
Two more runs scored for UNG after back-to-back bases loaded walks, but Meyer answered the call cutting into the lead with an RBI double down the right field line, making it a 13-6 game.
With the bases loaded, Donaldson blooped a single into right after Meyer's two-bagger making it a six-run game. Brown then split the right-center field gap, scoring two as the Sand Sharks continued to chip away at the Nighthawks lead.
An errant throw allowed a run to score for North Georgia, and the Nighthawks added another run in the ninth to make the game 15-9.
The Sand Sharks threatened in the bottom of the ninth, putting two runners on, but Jake Tanner flew out to end the game.
