How it Happened
The offensive outburst started early for USCB, pushing five runs across in the first.
Two runs scored after Humphrey singled in the first run, and Hunter Miller scored on an errant throw. Mack Cromer doubled to the left center field gap, scoring Humphrey, and Brock Thibodeaux scored on the second throwing error of the inning.
Humphrey blasted his first homer of the year in the second to make it 6-0. After Wesley Ambrose singled home a run in the third, the Sand Sharks dropped a 10-spot in the fourth.
Four run-scoring hits plated eight runs - four of which game off the bat of Tanner - and two more crossed home plate courtesy of a sac fly and wild pitch.
Iowa Wesleyan score two runs in the third with two RBI singles and a solo run in the seventh after a hit by pitch.
