How It Happened
After a quick out to open the game, the Sand Sharks loaded the bases and pushed across the first run after TK Kennedy ripped an RBI single up the middle.
However, the Jags wouldn't lie down pushing four runs across in the bottom of the inning.
Phillips notched the first of his game-high three hits leading off the second and scored on McKown's RBI double to right. Miller singled home McKown two batters later to cut the lead to one.
Pat Galvin homered in the third to make it a two-run game, and Augusta's starter Mason Bernard kept the Sand Sharks off the board until McKown's game-tying two-run homer in the sixth.
The tie ballgame, however, would be short-lived as the Jags regained the lead, after USCB traded a run for a double play.
The Sand Sharks loaded the bases to open the seventh, and McKown collected his fourth RBI of the game after grounding out to second. USCB took it's first lead since the first inning after Christian Donaldson singled followed by Miller's sac fly.
Augusta answered in the eighth, scoring four to take a two-run lead.
USCB put two runners on in the ninth after Donaldson walked and Miller singled, but a fly out and strikeout ended the game.
