Stevenson starts senior year strong at Eye Opener

SPARTANBURG -- Cydney Stevenson kicked off her senior campaign in strong fashion at the Eye Opener XC Classic Friday evening, posting a time of 23:14.0 to lead USCB in an field that featured Clemson, ETSU, and Furman.

Newcomer, Kate Curry impressed in her first collegiate meet finishing with a time of 24:12.4 while Sofia Mejia crossed the finish line at 25:51.0. Aniah Wright and LeeAisha Ford rounded out the Sand Sharks quintet posting times of 27:37.4 and 31:06.4 respectfully.

Beaufort travels to the Queen City next weekend to compete in the Queen City Invite. The race is scheduled to start at 6:25 EST on Friday.
