Hall named USCB Athletics first-ever Strength and Conditioning Coach

BLUFFTON -- The USCB Department of Athletics is pleased to announce the hiring of Berkley Hall as the first-ever strength and conditioning coach in the history of Sand Shark Athletics. This milestone appointment marks a significant step in the continued growth and development of USCB's athletic programs.

"This is a huge win for our student-athletes and our university," said Director of Athletics Quin Monahan. "Adding this position to our staff is a sign of our commitment to building Champions and Leaders. Not only are we adding an important position to our staff but adding Coach Hall will be an incredible addition to our team. There is no doubt our teams will get faster, stronger, and better because of her. I am thrilled to welcome her to our Sand Shark family and cannot wait for her to begin working with our talented student-athletes!"

Hall joins USCB after building an impressive foundation in the fields of performance training, rehabilitation, and athletic development. A 2019 graduate of UNC Wilmington and a 2023 graduate of Appalachian State with degrees in Exercise Science, Hall brings a unique blend of academic knowledge and hands-on experience to the Lowcountry.

Most recently, she spent the past two years with Athletico Physical Therapy at Fort Jackson, where she coached, educated, and supervised various components of health and fitness for military cadre, drill sergeants, and trainees. Her work focused on optimizing performance and injury prevention in a demanding environment, preparing her well for the challenges of collegiate athletics.

"I am super excited and grateful to be joining the Sand Sharks family," Hall said.

During her graduate assistantship at Appalachian State, Hall specialized in strength programming for track and field athletes, particularly pole vaulters and throwers, while also serving as the primary strength coach for the women's tennis team. She additionally assisted with women's basketball, women's golf, and cheerleading—further showcasing her versatility and commitment to athlete development.

Beyond strength and conditioning, Hall has gained valuable knowledge in sports nutrition and has worked to assess and tailor nutritional needs for athletes. She is also a competitive Olympic weightlifter, bringing a personal passion for performance and precision to her professional role.

Hall's hiring marks a pivotal addition to USCB's athletics department, aligning with the university's commitment to providing a holistic and competitive student-athlete experience.

"I look forward to helping elevate the performance of every student-athlete through strength and conditioning!"
